Your sense of security is an internal game.
A growing message within society is that individuals are meant to seek external sources in order to feel secure. I think this kind of messaging moves someone further away from their own esteem and their own abilities to provide security for oneself.
I believe human beings are hardwired to have their own internal sense of security. Our human design is the hardware we come into the world with for fulfilling and regulating our sense of security. In contrast, there’s also software that exists in our society that can program an individual to believe that security is meant to be found externally.
(Exactly) Who Is the Authority?
Continued reflection about this reminds me of discussions around internal and external locus of control. (Check out my previous article about locus of control here.) In short, it’s helpful for you to take a personal assessment of where your locus of control lies. Reflecting on this gives you to have a better understanding of your perceived relationship with the broader world.
When you maintain a more personal, internal locus of control you’ll be more apt to see when external forces are trying to drive you. You’ll see more clearly when there are external impositions pushing you toward doing and believing in something, rather than stemming from your own essence. Reflecting on this can be quite revealing.
Another example of a disempowering message is that authority comes from an external source. When in fact, inner authority is the vantage point meant to be taken for healthy, sovereign living. It can seem like there’s social engineering happening to nudge individuals to give up their inner fortitude. To squander their ability to find inner security. And to downplay one’s inner authority. I sense this occurring, do you?
There are days it’s so important to remain consistent with honoring personal work. Surely, personal work must be done for mental clarity and emotional stability. Even more so, you must maintain the personal work to keep up with what’s going on around you. On any given day, your nervous systems can feel attacked from all angles. Many components of the external systems increasingly go faster, with no indications of slowing down. Daily practices will center you and regulate your nervous system, so that you're not hijacked by these external systems.
Oh, Pisces Stellium! - Feedback from the Stars
It's no surprise that these messages are getting highlighted for me when there's a Pisces stellium happening this week. A stellium is an astrological configuration consisting of a cluster (3 or more) of planets that strengthen the energy of whatever sign they're in. With our new moon in Pisces on Thursday, that brings 6 placements within Pisces: Moon, Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune and North Node. Whoa, that's a lot of water - plus Mars in Cancer!
As you lean into the Pisces energy, you connect to the dreamscape and imagination. Sparking reconnection with your original dreams. What's the soul mission you're here to live out? What's the guiding force that keeps you moving forward? Are you creating the meditative space for it? Now is the time to do so! What volumes do you need to turn down? (External Noise) Can you turn up your inner volume? (Internal Signal)
This is the energy you're being called into at this current moment in time. You may find essential parts of your life - like mental health, withdrawal, and isolation - to be most relevant right now. It may be challenging, but alone time is incredibly important for intense growth and internal fortitude awakening. What are you resourcing as you move through this? If you're overwhelmed, how can you tap into your metaphysical gifts. Maintain your best practices for self-care.

Misty Pisces brings a sense of contemplation and inspiration. It also is an energy that puts us in contact with that internal locus of control, as long as we don’t get caught up in chasing fluffy bunnies. 😂
